0x10: ESP-WROOM-32 breakout board


Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly taking off and interesting new DIY maker modules are gradually becoming available. The recent launch from Espressif Systems of the ESP-32 has taken the maker community with storm, although few products are available. Yet.


This PCB breaks out the connections to an Espressif Systems ESP-WROOM-32 module for rapid prototyping of IoT systems on a standard breadboard. The spacing between the two pin header rows is 1 inch (1000 mil) equivalent to 25.4 mm, so it occupies some space on a breadboard and also covers a power bus. A decoupling capacitor is included for power stabilisation. Note that the logic level is 3.3 V.
