0x03: 16 ch Taguchi gas sensor array

.

.

Background

Please see the e-nose project page for an elaborate description as well as practical examples.

Function

This PCB breaks out the connections to sixteen Taguchi type gas sensors and effectively forms an array of sensors; the sensor part of an electronic nose.

Bill of materials

16 pcs. Taguchi gas sensor socket, 6-pin

16 pcs. Taguchi gas sensor

16 pcs. resistor, form factor 1206 (SMD)

2 pcs. 20-pin header

Estimated cost

Sixteen Taguchi gas sensors, sixteen sockets, and two twenty-way connectors should not cost more than EUR 40,- depending on the type of sensors.
